Have you ever wondered how long you’ve been in love with your partner? Or should I say, which of you guys out there have had nothing but a cold shoulder from your girlfriend or wife and you’re totally unsuspecting as to what’s got her back up – only to have it spelt out to you in a Dear John letter that it was indeed an anniversary? Well, if this happens to be you, then you’re in luck with the Love Timer.
This rather understated application is not just a lifesaver or relationship godsend for the above reason but it actually is practical and not as geeky as you may have thought it would be on initial inspection. This programme starts by asking both for you and your partner’s names and the date and time that you both got together. Then in a very quick and easy way, the software works its magic and gives you the year, month, day, hour, minute and second that you’ve been together.
Now, I can imagine watching the seconds and minutes creep up is generally a fairly short-lived excitement in itself, however, the creators behind this programme have fitted three alarms which vary in their significance. The first is the option to switch on your daily alarm (for those of you probably best known for short-lived romances, this is all you’re going to need to know for reaching a significant milestone). The second is your monthly alarm (again this is pretty significant for you both and is a perfect excuse for spoiling one another with a romantic gesture). Lastly, you can switch on the anniversary alarm setting – which is by far the most useful one for you to remember.
In an attempt to make the application even more diverse and useful the programmers have installed the option to set a daily alarm which could replace or complement your normal alarm settings. Additionally there’s the quick option to change the time-zone. These two options mean that should you be in different places in the world, you’ll still be able to keep the time down to the second as to how long you’ve been partners.
For the rather quick to fall in and out of love, the option to change the name and times are always available for you in the options menu.
In truth, this programme for girls is going to be used in a different way than for guys. The girls will use it as it’s intended, clocking the time you’ve been together since your first meeting. The guys would use this as a way to stay clear of the doghouse by putting in the details and using the alarm. But in truth, both of these are fine in either case and if it keeps couples together for longer, then how can you fault how it’s used?!

It may be a little fanatical for some, bordering on stalker calculations
