Miner Disturbance – Get gold fever!
Have you ever fancied yourself as a miner or wondered what the fuss about gold is, then you might like to explore this title.
Miner Disturbance reminds me of the classic game Mr. E. You must work your way down the mine shaft and explore your way round the disused old caverns. Along the way you will need to cut through rocks, avoid falling boulders, jump over pits and discover all the hidden treasures – gold, silver, fossils and hidden artefacts. You are rewarded with money which you can then spend in the store to improve your miner’s capabilities.
Whether you’re looking to get a grappling hook or an unconventional jet-pack and boing-boots for additional help in getting around the tunnels – you will be able to find it in this store.
Moving your way around the tunnels is quite a simple task of using the virtual thumb-stick controller on the left and then hitting the jump and pick-axe tabs. The direction you point your thumb in will correlate with the direction your character faces (either to move, jump or dig). Moving the controls further will cause your miner to move that way. This is a little bit tricky as it would take notions as to how responsive it would be. For example, you may move when you’re trying to dig out treasure – causing you to end up at the bottom of a shaft and stuck trying to get out. This would make the game addictive and frustrating in equal measures. This makes the game more playable like the classic retro games of old.
At the end of the day this game is really fun and although the controls do make it a little awkward to do something simple, there are plenty of challenging tasks to achieve, treasures to uncover and lots of fun to be had. It’s quite a logical puzzle style game at its heart but with so many ways to achieve all the goals (some easy and others not so simple), you have loads of playability and addictiveness.
