Fragger

Fragger – Grenade tossing fun!

If you’ve ever fancied lobbing explosive grenades at hooded terrorists who are all hiding in plain sight, then this game is certainly one for you to take a closer look at.
Armed with a limited number of grenades, you must use your keen arm and judge each toss to perfection as you aim to blow the opponents to smithereens. But beware, although you may be able to see the terrorists in their various cubby holes, you must try to figure out some devious ways in getting them. For example, you may see a terrorist standing in one position, but you must blow away the obstructions and fill the holes where your grenade would otherwise roll into and therefore miss its target, by using objects to your advantage.
If you think of Worms and the retro Scorched Earth game, you will have a rough idea of how this game will react. To move the angle you throw at, move your finger around the screen up and down and side to side. To alter the power of your throw simply move your finger towards or away from your character (who remains static); the closer you move the shorter the throw.
Overall this game is pretty entertaining despite its obvious lack of imagination. Where it comes into its own element is the seemingly endless amount of stages to conquer. For some levels you must use the grenade more like a ball toppling the enemy off their pedestals (much as you would a coconut shy). In other levels you must test your logic and your patience in attempting to get the grenade through the narrow opening.
Ultimately, this game is pretty addictive and will provide a bit of comic violence which shall keep you hurling grenades for many hours without realising it. It’s worthwhile noting then that a quick game may not end up being quite so quick and you might find yourself needing to time yourself if you’re not careful.
The game appears a little basic but you shouldn’t be deterred by this and actually it stays more true with the retro games and java style web titles you can find which do this. It’s also on a bit of a tightrope for the very same reason; you can find lots like this for free elsewhere.

Positives
Exploding grenades and terrorists... a perfect combination!
Vast variety of levels to master
Pretty addictive

Negatives
The levels aren’t too challenging
Very little variety in the game (moving targets would have been a nice touch)
The terrorists should be able to fight back
It could benefit from more humour and random events like blowing yourself up accidentally
