Fingerprint Matchmaker

It’s a pretty well known fact that our fingerprints are totally unique and not one is the same as any other.
OK, this can’t be strictly true as law of averages dictate that there must be some pretty close matches, but the chances are so slight you’d be pretty unlucky if you got locked up for a crime someone else did (so it always pays to have an alibi!).
That being said however, there’s an interesting spin-off thought with regards to fingerprints and identities or rather the personalities, and therefore the link between what you can tell about them from these prints and how compatible two people will be from making a match. This is where Fingerprint Matchmaker comes into its own element.
For anyone out there thinking that this is a bit of a yarn, you’d probably have a pretty convincing argument, however, by suspending your disbelieve for a moment, it does make for a fun idea and possibly one worth exploring.
In truth however, this application is nothing more than a bit of fun where you can see how compatible you or your friends are with other boys or girls. The way it’s designed to work is for one person to press their thumb against the screen on one ‘scanner’ and for the other person to do the same on the other ‘scanner’. After reading both prints, the programme then analyses and delivers a compatibility report which ranges from ‘Lean in for a kiss!’ to ‘Run away now!’
In actuality it has five outcome messages and these can be set as ‘random’ – where you are given the percentage and the text, ‘random % only’ – where you only get the number only.
Alternatively, if you want to ‘fix’ the results, you can! By selecting ‘fixed’ or ‘fixed % only’, you will get the results by pressing the number you desire for a specific outcome. For example, pressing 9 on the keypad will give you a result of 99% ‘Lean in for a kiss!’
As you can imagine, either scenarios can lead to some pretty enjoyable, flirty fun or some awkward moments which will cause one or other party to blush a lot. In the end though this application is nothing more than a bit of fun and could be used to strike up the conversation with your dream boy or girl, or for a good giggle.

Rating 45%

Positives
It’s a possible conversation starter to get things started with someone you fancy
Pretty convincing appearance
You can have the results you wish or random

Negatives
The novelty factor does dwindle somewhat
Unsure just how many times you’ll be able to convince someone the results are real
You have to memorise the numbers to press to get the results you want – could be a disaster if you make a mistake
