Contr Terrorism 3D

Whoever claimed that violence never solved anything clearly had never played Contr Terrorism 3D.
Although violence is not always the answer, in this instance it’s the only way to make progress – ‘cos the enemy sure aren’t sticking around for conversation! You are playing an elite soldier who’s very nifty with automatic and semi-automatic weapons, knives and explosive devices. In a very straight forward style of gameplay you are given missions, either eliminate all of the enemy, finding the hidden access to the bunker, make it to the extraction point or rescue hostages. These are nice bite-size missions which you can pick up and play and put down again (if you can resist playing until the end).
This is a first person shooter which has intuitive targeting system, rather than on some games which you have to be on the same floor to shoot at the enemy, you can be on a different level and take clean shots at the bad guys! I really like this game in the fact that you can also pick the difficulty level. If you fancy being super-human and virtually indestrucable, pick the easy setting and you can roam through the level as though you’re the Terminator. If you fancy more of a challenge, you can pick the hard setting and you will have to be quick on your feet and on the trigger – but remember your ammo is not unlimited. Another nifty feature of this game is when you walk over your latest victims’ body, you can pick up the ammo automatically or swap your weapon over.
There are 10 levels which have nicely rendered and textured buildings and objects. This provides you with lots of depth and an enjoyable environment to explore. With dead ends, multiple floor levels and mazes you can choose to lay in wait and snipe the enemy or you can end up being caught out by the rivals’ cunning knowledge of the lair.
You will see that this is a very distinctive game, much in the same vein as Doom or Wolfenstein 3D. Arguably the graphics are possibly better than those two games, despite them being condensed to the mobile phone screen format. You have the advantage between levels to replenish your weapons. As you would expect the further you go the more money you have to spend and the better weapons you can purchase and use. Needless to say the weapons all have varying levels of effectiveness in disposing of the enemy. Some weapons are better in close quarters, others are far more effective at range and frag grenades are merciless in their dispatch of the enemy. If you do fancy being a little more flash, then why not try a flash-bomb? These stun the enemy and give you the opportunity to pick them off. For some missions this is the best solution as hostages could get killed otherwise.
In a nut-shell, this game is brilliant fun but a little short, however, altering the difficulty levels make this more challenging and rewarding.
