If you’re tired of the same old IQ tests and brain trainers out there then you’ll be pleased to know that a scientific and entertaining game’s come to the mobile called Brain Genius.
This is certainly going to resemble much of the same sort of brain training software that you have seen around but it takes a much more sensible approach. This scientific method provides you with not just better results but more validated scores which you can take more seriously.
These tests consist of various exercises which will tax your brain cells just a little in different ways. The tests focus on your visual, memory, calculation and logic parts of your mind to give you a well rounded and more accurate reading. You will be challenged each day with a test from each category.
Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with these kinds of tests, the game/test will be explained in full before every game. At the end of each mini-game (test) you’ll be shown your result as a score, which when pieced together with all four results will show you how you faired. Afterwards you’re given the performance graph to show you how you’ve done over the course of your playing. Amazingly, I found that I scored a dramatically better result on my second day, which was a dramatic improvement all-round from my first day result.
Not only can you take the test daily, if you want to practice and play the new unlocked games which you’ll be rewarded with for successfully gaining levels in your results, you can. Better yet, should you get really good at these tests you’ll be rewarded with not just more tests but two bonus games – Sudoku and Kakuro (which are both pretty well known traditional Japanese puzzles).
I honestly have played quite a few brain training style games and really have to say this is by far the most complete and best one on the market. If I was going to pick faults, it would be that you can only take your daily exam once – which may give you fair results but does come at a price of putting the dampeners on the fun. This is only a small gripe as you can play all the games you like as much as you like individually.
So if you’re looking for something quite challenging and with a good shelf-life with truly addictive qualities, this is certainly the game for you. The extra bonus games are a very nice addition to the game and means you have not just a number of mini-games to pick from, but also two further games in their own right.
