There are quite a few people out there eagerly wishing to curb or stop their smoking habit. Many have already tried and failed and others simply don’t know how or what to do to help them quit.
Smoking cessation has always been a bit of a prickly subject. For some, will power is quite enough but for many more, they need something to help give them a helping hand. Whatever your circumstances, My Health Coach - Stop Smoking with Allen Carr, is certainly worthwhile taking a look at should you need a boost or even take your first steps in treating your addiction.
Allen Carr is a world renowned expert in treating smokers and has more success stories than you could shake a big stick at. So, does this work and will it work for you? Well, I can’t guarantee a result, at the end of the day it’s down to you and if you are truly committed to breaking up your relationship with the bad habit, but if you are, I can hope you’ll find this programme useful.
It starts by getting more acquainted to you, learning your name, age, favourite food, how long you’ve smoked and how much you spend on a packet. Then you are given a simple oath to agree to, cute but it helps establish your commitment to the programme. After this, in a very simple diagram, it explains to you how many cigarettes you’ve smoked so far and will likely smoke at this rate and soon gets you to rethink your association with cigarettes.
Simplistically this is broken into four simple stages of varying lengths, which are; introduction, the nicotine trap, illusion removal and the last cigarette. Cleverly, the boffins behind this application have put together some sensible approaches which work a bit like putting pieces of a puzzle together and then letting you play with them before explaining why things are much harder due to smoking. This is a really nice approach, not invasive, neither is it aggressive – in fact, it’s refreshing and enjoyable. Getting your brain working and solving some rather cute games which do serve a purpose once they’ve been explained afterwards does indeed get you to re-evaluate your connection and dependency on smoking. If you take these steps and actually take everything onboard it’s very likely you’ll be puffing away and letting your money go up in smoke for the very last time.
Of course there will be some of you out there who’ll find smoking too addictive and will find something like this too gimmicky or even laughable that something like this could possibly work. However, for the price of a packet of cigarettes, this could pose the solution and indeed help you kick the habit. A lot less intrusive than a therapist and far more useful in terms of going at your own pace, this could be worthwhile should you be looking to have a healthier, happier and freer you!

Positives
Entertaining, educational and informative
Excellent value and could help you quit smoking
Very reassuring as well as thorough
Simple and fun games to keep your interest going
Negatives
Won’t do it for you – it takes commitment and will to quit smoking
It broadly covers every aspect of smoking, but there could be more underlying issues which trigger smoking so it may treat the symptoms rather than the cause – but if it cuts the cost of your smoking – you can save up for therapy!
