Uranium Inc

Have you ever wanted to run a business in supplying valuable nuclear materials? Then you just happen to be in luck with the game Uranium Inc!
This title’s a puzzle solving game which tests your reactions and logic solving skills (as well as your patience at times). You are tasked with distributing your precious cargo to the right transportation vehicle (ship, train or truck) through using the colour coded boxes. To do this you are in control of the signals on the conveyor belts from the factory to the various vehicles. This sounds simple doesn’t it? But no, sadly the game’s dreadful controls make a meal of what should be a simple task. Although this could explained as part of the initial design to make the game trickier, but actually I think if you believe that you’d only be kidding yourself!
What you must do is illuminate the direction signal at the various crossings on the conveyor belt (which you must try and navigate through via the number pad and d-pad) and then press the 5 or OK button to cycle through directions. I believe the controls are affected by the attempt at making the graphics in psudo-3D. If this game had been kept a top-down or square-on displayed game, the game would have been a little less pretty but would work infinitely better.
OK, now I’ve whinged about the controls, on with the good things… Well, like I touched upon, the graphics are simple and are quite decent, although they’re not 3D, they are sharp. The puzzles are very tricky and as you are playing against the clock, it’s quite a difficult challenge to get it right the first or second time round. If you’re a fan of Bobby Carrot style games, no doubt this will offer some appeal to you. However, if you’re looking for puzzles which offer more action, then this is possibly not for you.
Overall then, this is a super little puzzle game which will keep you occupied for hours should you get stuck on some of the more difficult levels. It’s pretty repetitive throughout the game, with the only real difference being the layout of the conveyor belts and indeed the more junctions to change direction.
You get to compete against others around the world by uploading your score should you wish to. This will add a little more spice to the game and raise the addictive levels somewhat. In the end though, this lacks any real depth and may cause you to get really frustrated.
