Twice!

We’ve all played the classic memory game where you must try and recall the two pairs and match them all up within a limited time.
Twice! is the mobile version of this classic game and proves to be very challenging and even more addictive once you get started. You start each game with the cards facing downwards, using your cursor (controlled by the d-pad or keypad) you highlight the desired card and by pressing select the card will turn over. You must then repeat this process to try and get a matching pair. Should you guess right, the cards will shake and points will be added to your score, should you guess wrong, the tiles will flip back over and you will have a time penalty.
As the levels increase the layout of the cards, as well as the number of cards and possible pairs becomes more complex. Add to the mix that you have three difficulty settings – sly, agile and smart.
Playing in ‘sly’ you have a limited number of guesses. With every mistake you make the life-bar indicator at the top left of the screen will decrease – when empty the game is over and you will lose a life. Providing you have an extra life you will get to play again (but the cards will be re-shuffled) – so no two games are the same! Better yet, you will score more by matching pairs in a row.
In ‘agile’ mode you are up against the clock. By guessing a correct pair you’re rewarded with a time extension, however you’ll lose time for every incorrect attempt. As above, your game’s over should you run out of lives.
In ‘smart’ mode, you are purely in it to score as much as you can. You no longer are up against the clock or restricted by attempts, the only thing is you get points (indicated in the middle of the tiles) for every pair you correctly match. With every wrong try, the points available will decrease and the indicator will decrease.
The only constant thing in these games (apart from the tiles) is that a butterfly will flutter around the screen on the odd occasion. Whilst the butterfly’s on the move the indicator in the top left of the screen will not deplete at all – meaning you have more chances, more time or more opportunity to improve your score.
The game offers quite a few levels and an almost infinite amount of possibilities. You’ll be rewarded for your perseverance as well as your logic and memory skills and undoubtedly by playing more you’ll find yourself with an improved brain power (although this isn’t a scientifically proven fact).
Ultimately, if you have a few minutes to spare, then this will definitely give you quite a bit of a challenge.
