Army Rangers 3D

Army Rangers 3D is undoubtedly one of the best first person shooters to come to the mobile scene.
If Wolfenstein 3D is your thing, then you will certainly be able to enjoy this game a lot! It uses a simplistic control of turn or strafe left/right, forward and backwards and fire when your enemy are in your sights. It will at first take a bit of getting used to, as the enemy are quite quick and are able to dodge your sights (and indeed your bullets) quite easily so you will have to be prepared to learn swiftly how to take the enemy down effectively without letting your limited ammunition run out. Fortunately you seem to have a better resilience to bullets than your enemy. Unfortunately there’s hundreds of them and only one of you!
In the beginning, you are taken to a remote arctic island to stop the production of drug making criminals getting their psychotropic drugs onto the market. However all is not well and you are swiftly pinned down in a frantic fire-fight. All is not lost however; in the start of this ill fated mission, to help you in your operation you have a rather small elite squad at your disposal. If you can manage to get to grips with giving the orders under pressure they will help give you the edge – if not they will fall like flies and then it’s going to be very difficult to even the score as they don’t have quite the ability in surviving so many bullets as you.
By rotating through your arsenal from the start you will learn that apart from your semi-automatic rifle, you have a few grenades and a knife. It’s best to use the gun to snipe the enemy from distance and a clear head-shot will not just save you precious ammo but stop them, dead! A grenade is great for taking out a few enemies at a time but be careful as you’ve only been equipped with three. Lastly, your knife is a bit gore-tastic than the others, but effective (providing you can duck the hail of bullets).
Once you have managed to neutralise the enemy on the outside you will be able to get to the warmth of the abandoned weather-station. Again, don’t let the shelter fool you, you are yet to come across even more dangerous adversaries, including helicopter gunships!
As you would expect from games like Splinter Cell, you will be able to replenish your weapons and health throughout the game, but you must keep your wits about you as if you use things wastefully, you’ll end up being wasted!
