Cartoon Yourself

Release the inner Rolf Harris with a pretty powerful and entertaining game/application called Cartoon Yourself by Mayhem Studios.

I find it hard to really call it a thorough game as it’s entertaining as a game should be but you don’t win or lose or get points for doing something. Instead you get to pick everything from head shape, size or type through to nose, eyes, mouth, hair, body and so on. You can pick colours of outfits and skin from traditional hues to rather more elaborate and alien-like shades of blues and greens!

The purpose of doing this is to then be able to use the images on your phone, like set them as calling ID for friends or family or send the images to someone as a bit of a joke! Great news about this title is there are virtually limitless combinations available for you to play with and as every graphic can be manipulated to your hearts content, the end results can be as accurate or as zany and creative as you dare.

You can back up any of your cartoons in a gallery and make changes as you desire to them or start from scratch and open a new file where you can do amusing pictures of yourself, friends or even famous stars if you like! These features are simple but very versatile and offer you a great selection and versatility. No doubt you and your friends would be able to spend quite a few hours giggling as you mess about with this title.

In a nutshell, Cartoon Yourself is a very well thought out and detailed game which will give you hours of amusement and a product you can keep and share with others for added pleasure. I think if the game element had been developed it would have been a far more rounded and entertaining and addictive package. For example for those who know and play Little Big Planet on the PS3, you get to unlock features and stickers and so on which can then be used elsewhere either in your personal space or in other quests. I believe if this sort of element had been brought to the game I’d be far more impressed with it as this would be enjoyable and a bigger dimension to entertain and keep you hooked for much, much longer.
