Fashion Week Live

Fans of Ugly Betty will no doubt be able to see the similarities with this game and the kind of tasks and objectives of a game called Fashion Week Live.
It’s a pretty varied game which you start as a newbie who has to establish trust from her employer to keep your dream job as a fashion designer’s assistant preparing for a Fashion Week. Talk about in at the deep end, you are thrust right into the middle of it all and not just have to play various mini-games and succeed but also try to pick the right thing to say to your boss when he presents various crisis’ who’ll be either delighted by what you say and willing to run with it, or rip you to shreds in a very cat-like manner and needless to say, should you fail in your tasks on too many occasions, you’ll be back on the bread-line faster than you can say Gucci!
This is a quite dynamic game and mixture of role-play, mini-games and all the things you can imagine which happens behind the scenes in the fashion industry. Ultimately this game has to be played a bit like poker, don’t give away any signs no matter how scared you are of the others, and go in for the kill with a massive amount of confidence. By being always willing to go the extra mile you will gain the appreciation of your employer and by doing so, will unlock different game features and get challenged by more games.
In total there are five fashion themed games to play, from finding a misplaced outfit, to choosing the best outfit for a party, or ensuring a highly demanding model arrives to the event on time. Largely these games are puzzle games, either sliding squares around within a given amount of time or rearranging squares as a jigsaw style game. One thing to remember however, is that your job is on the line – should you fail to complete one or two tasks, it’s quite likely that you will be fired and made to feel pretty small by your employer. True, this game probably reflects real life in this industry and many others for that matter, but I don’t know how appropriate it is to be belittled by your employer in a game.
On the plus side, by accomplishing your tasks you will be praised by the employer and rewarded by keeping your job for another day and indeed for successfully completing all the games you get to keep the job! It’s arguable should you succeed in the game if this would be a job you’d really want to stick at.
A relevant and interesting addition to this game is the opportunity to learn a lot about the fashion world and it helps you with colour co-ordination, styles and designs. This is certainly a game geared for the girls or any fashion wannabe – guru.
In a nutshell, this is a very engaging and entertaining game. I would say it’s quite short and fairly easy to complete – as long as you can do well at the tasks and always pick the most confident answer to say to your boss.
