Catwalk 2

For all you glamour-pusses out there it’s time to slip on your favourite pair of heels and strut your stuff down the catwalk in this fun game.
In Catwalk 2 you will have to guide this potential ‘supermodel’ along the catwalk and help her avoid crashing off the edge of the perilously narrow path. Sounds simple, right? Wrong! This game is far from easy. The lady is apparently unsure of walking in heels as she walks along the endless catwalk as if she is drunk – swaying from side to side in an unpredictable and difficult to counter manner.
Once you’ve improved your control of her movements you are then added the additional task of picking up power-ups and avoiding other items. Some items you will encounter will slow down your sashay – giving you more time to react and control her movements better, others will increase your score, some will speed you up which can swiftly cause you to look very uncontrolled and arguably the most important ones will impact on how ‘hot’ you are, some positively and others negatively - and when your hotness zeros out, your game and catwalk career is over! From time to time you will be placed in mini-games. These tricky games vary in difficulty as you progress through the levels. Some simple games are memorising the dance moves/footsteps in order, another will be taking photographs of your face in a very nausea inducing swaying motion or striking poses in sync to the timer. The worst challenge I faced was trying to capture roses and avoid collecting the lightning as they drift down over the screen. These mini-games would affect your hotness, either ensuring you stay in the game or drain it severely for a failed task. Indeed getting to the final 10th level is quite an achievement in itself.
One thing I do have to question though is the underlying tone of this game. Sure for bubble-headed girls this will probably seem like nothing to be concerned over and for them, this is absolutely ideal. However, the term ‘do you want to seduce me?’ at the beginning of every mini-game and for every failed game being told ‘you are so not cool’ seems somewhat lost on me and indeed I wonder how appropriate this is for impressionable girls? Perhaps I’m a little old fashioned but still think that this is not necessary and takes the game into a demeaning level.
For your trouble in this game, you are rewarded by points and also 20 images in your gallery. If you get a high enough score you can always post it also on the manufacturer’s website to compare with others.
